In the spring of 2021, I was approached by Brad Hughes to make a new hero animation for NEO.LIFE, an online magazine tracking the neobiological revolution. The publication was redeisgning their website and wanted a logo with a little more color, texture, and personality.

I was given a brief to try and make the logo "breathe" in a natural, but subtle way. The logo was supposed to convey a semi-realistic biological feeling while remaining colorful and fun.

While the work was well recieved, these logo treatments went unused as the editorial team decided to go in a different conceptual direction for the rebrand. Below are some of the sketches made for the publication:
